My little hitch hiker needs some prayer
A few weeks ago on my way to work, I heard a meowing sound coming from underneath my car when I stopped at a gas station. There was a tiny stray kitten up inside the hood. Note that from my house to the gas station is a 16 mile drive, so the fact that it made it that far without falling out is a miracle in itself. After getting it out and aquiring some nasty scratches as a reward for my rescue, I realized it was sick. Pretty bad cold, breathing funny, and eyes matted. I bought a can of wet food in the gas station, kept the kitty in my car during my shift at work and brought it home. 2 trips to the vet later, and it's doing much better physically. Now running around and making friends with my other resident felines. But it's one eye still worries me. It's clouded over and when I took her back the vet said it was still infected. She gave me some drops to put in it, so I am hoping this will clear it up. Would hate to see such a young animal lose its eyesight - even if it's just one eye.

She's beautiful! and has obviously found a mama (2 mama's 1 human one kitty) What's her name?
************ Father thank You for protecting this little one and bringing her to Breni so she has someone who cares and will take care of her. Please clear up this eye problem and help her see clearly from both eyes and pounce accurately as she needs to. Thank You for creating her and caring about her little kitty needs and giving her a long well life.

No name for her yet. Been focusing on nursing her back to health and clearing up the infection. She also has a bad case of fleas, but the vet said they can't give her any medicine for that just yet seeing how she is so small. So been trying to get as much as I can off her with a fine tooth comb, which she surprisingly enjoys.

Taking kitty back to vet in the morning. Eye still not getting any better and in fact looks worse than a few days ago. Hoping they can help her......

Kitty's eye is getting better. Still not totally out of the woods, but a definite improvement. The vet said that what I saw in her eye was healing tissue and while it did look nasty, it also meant that the eyedrops were doing their job.
In related news, I have to keep an extra close eye on Hayden now. The kitty is just the right size for him to carry around. And even though he would never intentionally harm her, he is a little rough with her.

I'm glad she is getting better
and so glad that she found you. One blessed kitty. Little ones have a hard time sometimes telling real furrys from stuffed ones and how to treat them differently.
