Ive started listening to country music alot more lately.... I love it.

Its gotten like a hint of pop to it, its not all sappy and boring and stuff....

but Ive noticed alot of the singers are Christian too...

or at least mention God in their songs (in a positive way)

Like, Martina McBride's- Blessed
Lee Ann Womack- Something Worth Leaving Behind (Hey Jesus, must have been some Sunday mornin, in a blaze of Glory... still tellin your story)
Garth Brookes- Unanswered Prayers
Nickelcreek- The Hand Song (he still remembers that night as a child
on his mother's knee
she held him close and she opened her bible
and quietly started to read
then seeing a picture of Jesus he cried out
mama, he's got some scars just like me)

Theres alot more too...

I just like it alot more than whats played on the pop stations.... its not as polluted.

The Hand Song is absolutely beautiful. Live, they played a ton of Gospel songs and ended the show with Be Thou My Vision (Nickel Creek).

also, Brad Paisley(:D) sings gospel music on his albums and at his concerts - "In the Garden" and "Old Rugged Cross" are two of my favorites

Alan Jackson - "Where Were You When The World Stopped Turnin'"

also, the Grand Old Opry is well known for its gospel and Christian music

Oh my goodness! I love country music and I have ever since I was a little girl! My list is endless too! I love that Leann Wolmack song ash- " something worth leaving behind." And I agree with you that it's alot nicer then all that other annoying rap stuff. (that i dont listen to anymore cause it got on my nerves big time )
( sorry if anyone is a big rap fan ) But yeah country music rocks! And so does christian music! Speaking of christian music, if anyone hasn't already, you guys need to get the Shane Bernard cd! It is awesome! He gives me chills when he sings!!!!! Hope you like him!
Lots a love
