Just wondering.....

Do any of you listen to contemporary Christian music, or is it just rock, rap, etc?

Personally, I only listen to bands that I can understand the words coming out of their mouths. :D

I'm with you my dear! If I can't understand the words, I don't want to hear it!

Though - occasionally I'll hear a song that's not contemporary that I like :)

"Contemporary" is not a style. "Contemporary" refers to music that is produced by our temporal peers. It has nothing to do with genre. All Christian music being produced today is technically "contemporary Christian music".

Peace, Love, and Jesus Christ,

ps. And I can understand the words ;)

 ditto to jase's post

(I can understand the words, and I listen to every genre of music)

some of you are just special!

there are some other genres that I can understand the lyrics - I guess the only thing I really don't like is rap - and the yelling/screaming type

But it's so much fun to yell along if you know the words ;)

oh come on, you know what I meant....

I meant music that is somewhat slower than rap and rock.

Like there is a radio station in my area that plays music that's not quite gospel and not quite POD if you know what I mean ;)

Well, I see I have been insulted. :wah:

Adult contemporary? Soft rock? That sort of thing?

The more a song makes me want to jump (or mosh for that matter) the more I like it :)

and just about all "contempary Christian" does not fall into that catergory.

I guess then it would be soft rock, but I don't want it to sound like I listen to oldies because I still like bands such as Audio Adrenaline and Supertones, etc.
