What does it say about a ministry if that ministry "overlooks" behavior of a leader that is contrary to the way God's word says that His people should act? As believers what should be our response to that ministry?

I am thinking of a specific ministry that is not just ignoring something that is happening but praising and promoting the person doing it and my heart is breaking for everyone who trusts and is led by them

WHAT NORMALLY is done, of course, is that the one having the grievance starts a "Whispering campaign" within the church, and often in the larger Christian community, Spreads their sedition. and undermines the person/Organization with the intent to destroy them. Obviously not a Biblical solution -

You intimate that the ORGANIZATION that the miscreant is part of is in favor of, and supportive of his bad behavior - which gets you into the 1 Cor 5 situation.

Paul is ABSOLUTELY DEFINITIVE about what the ORGANIZATION should do. Apparently the ORGANIZATION (The Corinthian Church) heard him (based on his comments in 2 Corininthians).

So the only thing you CAN DO is contact the LEADERSHIP of the organization privately with your concerns presented over your signature in an honest, and detailed fashion. And then Pray for Them AND for the Miscreant themselves.

If They "Hear you", then maybe you can make a difference. If they Don't - then Walk away, but keep them in prayer. God knows what's going on, and NOBODY gets away with anything in the final analysis. If you spread sedition, then YOU become part of the problem, and demonstrate no confidence in God to take care of the issue (Rom 2:1-6).

Apparently in Robert Tilton's case, God led the Investigators to the dumpster behind the bank in Oklahoma city that was full of discarded Prayer requests - with the checks removed, and the situation in Dallas resolved itself quickly.
Even Tilton's buildings are gone - replaced by the "Dr Pepper Convention Center".

Good point Bob. I believe we need to think about these things and know in advance what God's word says because it is almost inevitable that we will directly or indirectly come into contact with them in our walk with the Lord. Far better we not ever take what you term the usual way.
