What do u think about project 86?

Orpheus42
12-10-01, 04:27 AM
I wasn't terribly impressed with them live, actually, though I think that had more to do with the crowd than the band. There were many rebellious attitudes and the kids did not respect the authority of the security guards at all. The band didn't do anything to encourage that. Also I had a headache, because I'd been there all day and was sunburned and tired. I actually took a nap through part of their set because I wanted to be feeling better for Third Day.

Peace, Love, and Jesus Christ,

Jason

are you nutz Project 86 Ownz...I have seen Project like 7 times in concert. Just cause the crowd isn't good doesn't mean the band isn't Good. Andrew Schwab is an amazing writer. His songs are ust awesome. You should read them some time

Orpheus42
12-11-01, 03:27 AM
I didn't say it was the band's fault ;)

Orpheus42
12-12-01, 07:22 AM
I didn't see how that was a problem ;)

Peace, Love, and Jesus Christ,

Jason

cause they are to differen't :)

Orpheus42
12-12-01, 04:29 PM
That didn't bother me, but then again I will listen to Disciple and Bach and then a little Jimi Hendrix and some Cannonball Adderly (ALL OF YOU should know who he is now!) back to back.

If you want to talk about too different... Raze was before P 86.

Peace, Love, and Jesus Christ,

Jason

ok now that is wrong :D

Orpheus42
12-13-01, 08:38 AM
Yeah, that was messed up. Of course, I didn't like Raze so I can say that ;)

Though I must say I would rather go to a festival and hear many different types of music than go to one where everyone sounds similar. Diversity! I crave diversity!!!

Don't know who they are

but you better hope they are there if you want to see them hehe *cornerstone has not yet announced the bands for 2002*

Orpheus42
12-14-01, 10:25 AM
They're supposed to be there, well, at least that's what I heard from a friend of a friend of a friend ;)

They do a lot of ethno-music type stuff.

Peace, Love, and Jesus Christ,

Jason

but see you have to be asked to play Cornerstone

Orpheus42

But see they were there last year ;)

And this is supposedly a trustworthy source.

doesnt matter if they were there last year honestly I know bands that were there one year and not the next its just how cornerstone operates. I mean you can pretty much get a jist but you are never sure until they announce it

Orpheus42

You're missing my statement about the "friend of a friend of a friend". That has more meaning than might be apparent from a cursory reading. You have to read beyond the mere text and see the meaning behind the text. You, child, are not the only one who knows things and possibly might have a connection or two.

Jason

It doesn'tmatter if you know a friend of a friend of a friend or whatever I understand you think they might be going but the forsure ness hasn't been said because Cornerstone hasnt' announced who is going to conrnerstone for 2002!!! they don't announce anything until after christmas. and I know this cause they told me duh I have been to cornerstone for 4 years I know the whole getting a band thing and announceing.

You need to watch your attitude. A little possible experience and knowledge does not mean you know everything, and you should not assume that just because you know some things you know more than everyone else. I am not going to respond to this train of thought any more. If your attitude continues, this thread will be closed. If you want to continue talking about music, feel free.

Peace, Love, and Jesus Christ,

Jason

i must agree with jason, that there's a lot of tension and "im smarter than you" going on here... but, on another note... madison greene will almost for sure be at c-stone.. of course its never definite, but they have been growing in popularity and were perhaps the biggest show at the c-stone mag tent after their amazing performance at the wycliffe tent last year.. not to mention that they have played several years in a row and their booth in the merch tent was the most successful

CGC

I dout they were the most successful out of 200 bands:biggrin:
