Ok, I though with people like Richard Gere, Helen Hunt, and Shelley Long in a movie that it must be great, right? WRONG. I have to say that I haven't been this disappointed in a movie since "Message in a Bottle". *Sigh* I am very disappointed in all three of them. LOL
This movie is so boring that I barely got through it. He is a gynecologist so you see a bare bottom, a chest, several examinations, a VERY GRAPHIC childbirth and his wife completely naked behind a water fountain at the mall (she has literally gone insane and has to be put in a mental hospital) plus Shelley Long in lingerie. His daughter turns out to be gay so you see her and another girl kissing a few times. There are several ugly conversation moments that although a couple were funny, most were really crude. The plot just didn't work out. An overworked doctor - with an insane wife and a gay daughter about to get married but backs out at the last minute (at the alter) for her maid of honor - finds romance with the local golf pro (Hunt). So what happens? I won't tell you but it's dumb. Really dumb. The ending is really horrible. I really really disliked this movie so I do not recommend it to anyone. No matter how much you like any of the main actors/actresses. Don't do it! Don't do it! LOL
