This is a very good question. Faith is vital to our lives. But there are also strong emperical reasons to believe the Bible is true and is the word of God. Here are some of the natural evidences of the Bible's truth and accuracy.

Sixty-six seperate books written by many diferent authors over a period of centuries form a consistant unified whole. A part of this consistancy is the consistancy of claim of Biblicl writers that they are bringing us the word of God.

Where Biblical accounts are compared to the best existing secular histories the Biblical account is shown to be true 100% of the time. Archelogical discoveries repetedly confirm the Biblical accounts and in no known instance has an archelogical discovery shown the Bible to be inacurate.

Prominent characters are portrayed with their faults showing. A propaganda piece or even a historian desiring to achieve human favor would have been far less candid. This is true even when the writer is speaking of themself. There is no excuse making or self justification.

The accuracy of the prophecies contained in the Bible and the unlikelihood that a writer so long before could have even imagine the historical details that would be involved in their fulfillment. There were something over 300 prophecies fulfilled just in the life, death and resurrection of Christ. The exactness of these fulfillments is to great for it to have ocurred by human effort even if a person had wanted to act out all these things.

The discoveries of science also support the acuracy of the Bible. The Bible stated things as facts that contradicted the theoiries held in the day it was written whuich have since been shown by science to be acurate. Examples of this would be that the world is round not flat and the laws of atmospheric circulation, the laws of gravity etc.

The efect of the Bible in the lives of those who believe it including in my own life. No other document has produced such dramatic and lasting changes in the lives of so many people.
