Where in Time is Carmen Sandiego?

Okay, I know I'm posting a lot here today, but I'm bored so there you go. Has anyone ever played this game? I just discovered that we still have it on our old computer. I used to play it as a kid all the time and I've just taken it up again. It's loads of fun. The main gist is that you get sent out on missions to recover stolen property and catch the crook. The catch is that your crook could be anywhere in the world AND in time, so you're given a chronoskimmer and you have to follow the clues (ie. chase the crook) all throughout history till you finally nab him/her. There's even a special Carmen Sandiego encyclopedia to look things up and help you decide where you should go next. Of course, if your crook happens to be Carmen Sandiego herself then you're out of luck cause she always gets away, but you can usually catch her V.I.L.E henchmen. (I can't remember what that stands for.) Hehe, on my last mission, the Eiffel Tower was stolen but I eventually found the crook, Lynn Gweeny in ancient India and nabbed her with my capture robot. In the process, I got promoted to Time Inspector and was given a new office on the fourth flour. :2cool: The best part of playing this game for me now is coming back to "present time" in 1990. Aaah, nostalgia. :biggrin:

ooh I still have those games they were FUN! I learned a lot of geograohy with those things. You never caught Carmen? I did. Hmm dont remember V.I.L.E. either!hmm

hey i have a question does anyone remember SEGA Genesis'? I found my today and it still works! do they still make games for them?

We don't have our computer that had the Carmen Sandiego games anymore. They were fun, though! I used to watch the TV show too ;)

I don't think I played the Carmen Sandiego game but I watched the cartoon a few times and the game show.

no it is the ORIGINAL GAME BOY!!! heh heh heh yeah most of the games were of sonic though

Sega is pretty much dead. There's a new Sonic the Hedgehog game coming out for the Nintendo Game Cube, though. (guess who bought out what was left of 'em)

It took me like 6 months to catch Carmen on Where in The World is Carmen Sandiego. I loved that game so much. Oh, and V.I.L.E. stands for Villians' International League of Evil. Haha, had to look it up in my old Acme Agent Handbook, lol.

I think the Tyrant will incorporate that into the Wacky World.

hehe..Carmen was so much fun - I played that all the time in the computer lab! I think I caught her like once - and the TV show was fun too.


And Sonic was the best - I miss the old Segas :( The new games just aren't as good - I wonder if my brother still has his old one around here....hmmm...
