Has anybody else read his books? What do you think of them? I've read THE OATH and it was pretty cool. Right now I'm reading the PEIRCING DARKNESS or one of those things. It's like 300+ pages. Is it worth the read?

The Oath is one of my favorite reads. I would also suggest to you The Visitation, it's a great book about a David Koresh type guy. It's a pretty thick book that you'll find yourself having a hard time putting down!

Frank is also a great writer of childeren's books and nonfiction books as well.

Yes. It's worth the read.

Of course, you might want to read them in order.

This present darkness then Piercing the darkness

Anything with Peretti's name on it is probably worth reading.

^^^^^^^^^Yeah, that's what I'm starting w/, I just got them mixed up. I'm almost finished with THE PRESESNT DARKNESS, now. I put it down for a while, and now I'm getting back into it. It's cooler then I thought. Can't wait to finish it, but then I will be sorry it's over.

I'd have to echo all of the posters above me and agree that

This Present Darkness, followed by Piercing the Darkness is a book you won't want to miss out on, and won't want to put down once you start.

Trust me, you won't even notice the size once you get into it. Frank's book reads like an action movie, capturing its readers into the storyline. I started reading the book while I was on a placement for school, and I'd find myself slipping away to the bathroom with the book under my sweater. just so I could read another few pages.

Yes, the Oath and the Prophet are also great books. The Oath follows the supernatural feel of the 'Darkness' books, whereas the Prophet is a more real to life look at a news reporters struggle with an abortion cover-up (if I remember the story right).

Another book by Peretti that you may all want to read is a very short story (originally an audio story) entitled 'Tilly'. I won't say much about it, for fear of giving up the punch of the story, except to say that it is a really touching story, particularly for anyone who has ever known the loss of a child by natural or unatural means.

happy readings,
Kristine
