So, what's your favorite Christmas movie?
Mine is either Christmas in Connecticut (the original - not the re-make!) or A Holiday Affair

"It's A Wonderful Life" - hands down. Yeah, I know that everyone has probably seen it about a hundred times and is bored by it, but for some reason I can never get enough of it. I really like the message it sends.
"A Christmas Story" is cool too. "You're gonna put your eye out with that thing!"

Well, seeing as how the only Christmas movies I've seen are "A Christmas Story" and that movie where that Tim actor guy (the one in Home Improvement) turns into Santa Claus, I'd have to go with the first one. :)
Cath - you need to see some good old Christmas movies!!!
Take this list and go to your nearest video rental store - get as many as you can!
A Holiday Affair
Christmas in Connecticut
It's A Wonderful Life
Miracle on 34th Street
Charlie Brown Christmas
White Christmas
Holiday Inn
that should give you enough options to at least find one! lol - If I think of more I'll let you know! :)

Does Die Hard count as a Christmas movie? ;)
I would probably have to say the Santa Clause
Does Die Hard count as a Christmas movie?
If it does then I think we have to allow Reindeer Games as well
What about National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation? or something like that :D
I live in Connecticut! What was Christmas in Connecticut about?

I loved Christmas Vacation. Chevy Chase is hilarious! :)
And let us not forget "How The Grinch Stole Christmas". I think Jim Carrey did an excellent job in that role!

It's an old black and white movie. It's about a lady who writes an article for a magazine about her life as a wife and mom living on a big farm - but in reality shes single and lives in an apartment in the city. Then - the editior of the magazing decides it would be a good idea to have a soldier spend Christmas with this lady and her "family." So, the movie goes around that idea there! It's really good! :D

I'm going to have a hard time 'not' associating The Lord Of The Rings with Christmas after the films have all been released.
Well, only around 354 more days till the next one :D
(I just threw that number out there . Not sure how accurat it is)

And I thought I would be wierd for posting that Die Hard is my absolute fav Christmas movie. It's got everything that Christmas is about. Friendship, Salvation, big explosions, lots of guns, and people getting thrown from the 30th floor of a huge building...almost bring a tear to my eye.
I'm not remembering the salvation aspect?

I'm going to have to go with Die Hard and Die Hard 2 as my favorite Christmas movies.
I liked both movies a lot. I still don't see a salvation aspect to them? Stop duckin my question Bohrdumb :smash: :p ;)

Veggietales Christmas Special!!! funny thing, i happened upon this unlabeled tape today so i decided to check it out. turns out that's what it was, i forgot i had recorded it last year. and as for the christmas story, that is the worst movie in Christmas movie history. it should no longer be aired on television and should be banned from all viewing. the part of the boy getting his tongue stuck is the worst. very traumatic.

Nightmare Before Christmas was the coolest. I also like the original "Grinch" cartoon. Have any of you ever heard the Sixpence None The Richer remake of You're A Mean One, Mr. Grinch? It is so cool. Here's a question, what's your favorite Christmas Song? Mine is "In the Bleak Mid-Winter" by Kevin Smith of DC Talk. It is on an alternative Christmas CD called Noel.
hehehe..I'm loving that this Christmas thread got bumped up in August :D
I do believe I have heard sixpence's version of The Grinch :) Pretty good if it's the one I'm thinking of

Christmas Shoes by Newsboys :wah: aren't they suppose to come out with a movie to that sometime soon?
