Does anyone here know any good new worship songs? I've been outta the loop since I've been at school with no youth conventions and whatnot to not be able to attend. So if ya can help me out please, thanks! :)

Hey, I dont know if you are still looking or not, but check out the CD "I Could Sing of your Love Forever II". Its jamed with Great Modern Worship. Some new stuff that our church has been doing has been good too. Songs like

Open the Eyes of my heart,
and Yes Lord. (Not sure if that is the exact name.

The CD Breath has some good song too.

Hope that Helps.

Thank you for your help, the songs you mentioned are some of my favorite, I just wondered if anything really new had come out yet, I usually don't hear new things until youth convention or church camp which are both at least 4 months away. Oh and if you are looking for a good worship song I just happened to download an awesome one the other day "Amazing Love" the lyrics are in my signature, its awesome!

I very much like "Imagine" by Mercy Me, and "Rebel" by Matt Neely
"Love Song" by I think Third Day, and "Love Song for a Savior" I think by Jars of Clay are aslo good.
Caedmon's Call has some great stuff, but it's a bit tougher to find.

No, newer than offerings. I have offerings and it is AWESOME! But they came out with a newer one. Try the music forum for more info on it.

i'm presuming that you live in the USA, and i'm from England, so you might need to order these, but there are a few good new worship albums...

Capstone (Canadian band) - the whole album is really good it's called 'integreality'.

Tim Hughes (A famous worship leader over here) has just brought out his first album, it's kinda like matt redman, only it's tim hughes. There are some really really good ones on there, in particular, 'My Jesus, My Lifeline', and 'Redeemer'. The album is called 'Here i am to worship'.

Soul Survivor 2001 Shepton Mallett - this is a compilation of songs from the festival written and sung by matt redman, martyn layzell, tim hughes, and chris tomlyn amongst others. It's got some really good ones on it. In particular 'Making Melody in my Heart to You'(or something to that effect).

ooh, and i just remembered Chris Tomlyn's album is really good too. He's a guy from Houston Texas, that has some really good worship songs on. That album is called 'The noise we make'.

i think all of the above are fab, and i definately reccommend them to anybody.

Hope this helps. If ya get them, let me know what you think.

oh, and also, you could check out www.christianguitar.ws for Christian music, it's fairly up to date.

man, i feel like a walking advertisment today!:p

I personally don't like the song "Yes Lord". The lyrics are mainly "yes, Lord". How boring.

Katie, where in Ohio are you from? You sound just like one of my friends from camp, she absolutely despises that song, every time we'd sing it at camp she'd just sigh and look bored hahaha! I enjoy the song personally, actually any song from after 1992 I enjoy cuz all the songs we sing at my church at home are SOOOO old! haha

Everyone, thanks for your input, I will have to get around to looking that stuff up when I go back home (I'm baby-sitting right now!) THANK YOU!

I live in Canton. They play that song in the college chapel from time-to-time. I'm glad it's not too often. :p

I'm not sure if my church was around when most of our songs had been written and my church is like 60 years old. The avg age is somewhere around that with maybe 3 active members under the age of 25.

Heck, I'm not sure if Christianity was a religion when the songs we sing were made. Our musician uses an abbacus to keep time.

hahaha, my church is the same way like every song we sing is from 1925, granted, I like some older songs, but when my grandma thinks they could change things up a bit, I think it's definetly time for some change. haha

I'm downloading some of the songs you guys suggested right now I'll let ya know what I think of em! :)
