View Full Version : It's YOUR life!!!!
Well, this new thread is a place where you can write random facts and/or let everyone know what you've been up to! For example, I wrote a Japanese final on 4 hours sleep today and just about sliced my thumb off yesterday. LOL! (this way maybe I can get to know who everybody is???)

Well - My one year old pre-school class had their Christmas party today..and a little boy named Justin gave me the cutest little bracelet that has little boys and girls on it! :D Well, actually his mom gave it to me- but it was from him!
And, I took my last final today- which was extremely easy!
I went out to lunch with my coworkers. I'm on a team of really cool people and we wanted to hang out together one last time before they announce who's getting laid off on Monday.

On Tuesday I took an Ancient Christianity test, played my saxophone jury, took my Greek final, wrote a paper for Jazz History, and finished my final draft for my Isaiah paper all on no sleep for over 36 hours
Peace, Love, and Jesus Christ,
Jason
Um, wow. I think that about sums up life at University!!! Sounds like a crazy day!

Today, I took my wood processing exam. I will go to eat lunch with my friends at noon, and then I will go home and finish decorating my Christmas tree.

on the way home today after writing an essay for comp. and a bio. lec. exam, i was driving down the hill to get to my house(my school is about 2 min from home), and the road was blocked because of a semi/car accident. no one was hurt. i hate semis. it had no right going down a narrow, steep, curving hill, they should ban them from that road. so i had to reverse and turn my car around, trying not to hit the guard rails or cement curb on each side, and go the long way home. but that didn't dampen my mood! no more school til next year, Yahhhhhhh!!!
We started a new menu at work. I like it.
I'm sitting by myself in a basically empty office building and it's only 4pm. I think everyone's gone home already. My boss has gone home and I think most of my coworkers too. Everyone is pretty bummed about the layoffs. They tell us who gets laid off starting Monday morning. Everyone has their own 15 minute meeting scheduled with their managers. So I'm just kind of sitting here alone.
I made up a new game though. I have all these tops of yogurt cups that are like little tupperware tops. You can flick them with your fingers and make them fly like frisbees. Well, my new game is that you start in one cubicle (the tee) and pick someone else's cubicle (the hole) and you play frisbee golf. But you just have to pick people's cubes that you know so people don't get mad at you. I've only played one hole so far, I shot a 5. I can play more as more people leave. Then there will be less people to get mad at me.
LOL - Sounds like you had fun - how many holes did you end up playing?
- I know that Monday's coming up fast - so just remember that you're in my prayers... wish there was more I could do, but really, prayer is incredible... I guess I'm just not very good at saying "Hope you're not too worried, I'll be praying for peace for you and for the best situation to be worked out for you and your co-workers" Blessings!

I just stayed up till (well I'm still up and its 6 am) reading a book. And just thinking now about a lot of things. . . that I can't explain . . . but other than that I've gone to Taco Bell and to my school cuz I forgot some stuff there and just been a bum.
Thanks Ducky! I'm sure everything's going to be fine. They just might have to be fine somewhere other than Santa Rosa. Maybe now that the layoffs have happened, there won't be too many people in the building and I can get a really good round of frisbee golf in until they call security. :D
Yesterday was strange. I got laid off in the morning and so did a bunch of my other coworkers. But then I went Christmas shopping with my buddy which was fun. But then we found out that night that while we were out Christmas shopping, his half-sister had committed suicide. It was very sad. She was only a sophomore in high school. They had just seen her on Sunday and she had sounded like she was doing fine. My buddy and his wife had even made plans to take her out Christmas shopping and she had sounded excited about it. So right now, I don't think anyone knows why she did it. It's very sad.

hey, all this time i thought my computer thingie ticked.(the thing w/ the hard drive and stuff, the name escapes me at the moment)
it's right in front of me on the desk. Well, i made a discovery yesterday, turns out it was the little clock that's on the shelf above me that's the culprit.
You can read about Marissa here

The memorial service is today. Please pray if you have a chance.
I'm so sorry - I've been away for the computer for almost a week so I just read the bad news. I will certainly be praying for the family. That is so very sad. Last year around this time my best friend's little sister tried to commit suicide - how very sad that our little bros and sis' feel driven to this. I will definitely be praying. And for you as well, I know the layoff came as a shock. How you holdin' up?

I'm actually doing pretty good. My company gave everyone a really good severence package, so we're set there. There are a couple of opportunities that I'm looking at that look interesting. And my pastor has said that since I have free time, he has some assistant pastor type projects that he'd like some help on. That sounds like it will be fun. I'm also registering to do substitute teaching at the local Christian school by my house.
Thanks for the support!
I just read that article and it is soo sad and depressing :( :wah:
Stuff like that gets me frustrated and angry too. I feel soo bad for her family and friends and for her.

I just thought I'd drop by and see how things are going. I'm incredibly bored. My two good friends are out of town visiting relatives, and I have no one to talk to. hmph.
I am very disapointed at the amount of movies on TV this holiday season. I haven't watched much tv at all. That only leaves the computer to keep my occupied. But I have found that I have nothing to do on here, too.
Oh, I cleaned my room today. It took me a few hours, but at least I don't have to cringe whenever I look at it.
