I got Smash Bros. Melee today for the Game Cube. I think its' really fun. The controls are a little different, but Mario is rendered much better. They fixed the problem in the last one where he was shorter than everybody else :D

I think it will be very very fun once I get the hang of my moves with the Game Cube controller.

How much is a game cube?

About $200. I split the bill with my little brother.

But it only comes with one controller.

No game

No memory card

so add $50 for a game
$20 for a memory card
and another $20 a piece for extra controllers.

I can't imagine how that system will do well unless they get beyond the kiddie-games.

However, the price is definately right. The cheapest of the new systems that's come out.

Super Smash Bros. is a really fun multiplayer game, so there is hope for it yet :D

I already had one. Why pay an extra $100 for something superflous?

Hey, if you're having fun, then that's what counts!

Flannel must not have to pay for his own college *LOL*

Actually, I do pay for my own college.

My little brother went in with me on it. I also live at home, so I save food money and dorm money. :D

I'm completely on my own and it's too far to commute.... oh well!

You may return to the topic now :)

Dr. Mario

Roy (from the game Fire emblem in Japan only)
Falco (One of Star Fox's sidekicks)

Just wait till you get the Tyrant. Then the real gameplaying will being. Pushing L1 unleahes a horde of orcs. L2 calls upon the wizard. R2 Seeks the council of Lady Liz, and R1 causes the Tyrant to perform his special move ;)

I hate that when you pay $200 it still cost you another $100 to get started.

I spent like $600 when I bought my PS  :smash:

Nintendos don't have L1 and L2 buttons.

They have L, R, X, Y, A, B, Z. 2 ****og joysticks, and a d-pad

REAL Nintendos have A, B, start, select, and a d-pad ;)

I still find it interesting that every full size nintendo system since SNES (because i'm not sure about original) has cost $200 to start off.

Flannel Avenger

ah yes, my good ole NES. It came with Super Mario Bros./Duck Hunt 2 controllers, and a zapper. For a measly $100.

The good ole days...

I have played arcade pong when I've been stuck places and am bored...

Jason was more concerned with getting a melody going with the noise from the trigger everytime you push it. He probably never even played the actual game... :D

I was looking through Butterfly's list of reviewed things and I remembered we got a new character. MewTwo is a hidden character in Super Smash Bros. Melee.

also, Butterfly made a mistake, she lists this as a review for Super Smash Bros. (a trivial mistake granted, but Super Smash Bros. is, in fact, the predecessor).
