Any good recipes? I would like to try a beanless chili but have no recipes. If you have one that you have tasted and liked let me know. Thanks.

Beanless Chili? :faint:

Never knew it even existed! What would a person use instead of beans?

I don't know. I don't like the thought ,but, my hubby says the beans are getting to him. So I told him I would try to find an alternative recipe.

This is one of those "don't knock it 'til you tried it" recipes. It's really good. I swear. And easy. That's the best part. I won't do anything in the kitchen if it's not easy. :p

1 lb. ground meat
1 small bottle of ketchup
1 small bottle of water (use the same bottle and shake it up to get all the ketchup out of it)
a lot of chili powder--we use McCormick's.

Mix together, cover, and cook for about 45 minutes.

my friend's grandma used to put a little baking soda in her red beans and rice to nix the bean effect. You might try that in your chili if you don't want to give up the beans.
