My friend Heather & I are starting up a buddy-program type thing to lose weight, get in shape, and get healthy! If anybody wants to join us (I know that in the past, having lots of accountability and support from others in the same situation has helped me succeed)... please visit the site!

The Uber Project (http://www.uberhousewife.com/project/)

Thanks!

That looks really interesting Uber! I like that it is about changing slowly instead of trying to do everything at once! Looks good! Let us know your progress!

Here's my 1 week update!

:wah: I suck! LOL I'm doing so badly, I've barely been drinking any water... I'm not sure why I'm doing so badly!

Don't beat yourself up. If you do bad today just remember that tomorrow is always a new day. I keep my water bottle full at all times. If I see that it is empty even a little I refill it. Have patience.

Yah...

Thanks Juliet... That's my problem, I need to have my water bottle nearby at all times. Right now it's not always accessible and it needs to be. :)

I'm one week into my second phase now, which is exersizing 20 to 30 minutes, 3 times a week! I haven't missed a beat! I'm doing much better in my second phase than I was in my first. Also, exersizing this much has made me drink more water! :p I'm excited!! Everything is going really well. :)

That's excellent!

I'm almost to week 3 of phase 2 now... I'm doing great with the exercise, but I'm still slacking with the water. I do feel physically better, though, which is great.

I've found that the better I feel, the better I wanna feel... the same goes for feeling bad. LOL The worse I feel, the worse I end up feeling... etc...

So yah, doing good!

I am glad you are doing better at this than the water drinking thing. Now if only I could get up off my behind and get exercizing.

URG!!! Between having the flu bug for 3 days & hitting the dreaded 6 week mark, I've managed to fall completely off of the program... :redhotmad I'm so ticked at myself! I NEED to get healthy for the sake of my next baby (I was pre-eclamptic last time & couldn't give birth at home) and for my overall health. It would also be nice to be able to buy clothes right off the rack & wear a conservative bathing suit at the lake instead of hiding behind capris & a t-shirt (even though I'd LOVE to go in the water!) :wah:

*pout*

don't fret hun. Just say like like I do "tomorrow is another day". Just take it one day at a time and ask the Lord to help you meet your goals for that day.

I'm past that point... I need to either quit alltogether or start over... grrrrrr :redhotmad I'm very disappointed in myself about this... :wah:

 for Jasie

Juliet is right! If you fall off the horse, get right back on! :D ;)

This looks very interesting Jasie, I might start trying it, only I have to buy bottled water first (the well water at my house isn't to good and the town water supply doesn't reach out this far).

I'm also thinking about walking for my work out, instead of just sitting in front of a computer after class.

And Jasie, starting over isn't such a bad thing, it's a learning process.

I know its not the end of the world or anything... :) It just gets VERY frustrating when I fail multiple times. I've made it to the 6 week mark TWICE & then fell off LOL Its so redundant. I'm wondering why 6 weeks is such a bad point for me, maybe I burn out? I dunno.

This time around though I atleast had an excuse... I started messing up during week 5, really fell off the horse during week 6, then I got the nasty flu in week 7, so I couldn't exactly work out...

I might start over, but if I do I'm gonna wait until the end of the month, so that my next cycle can pass without interupting my workout schedule...
